What is Belarusian Interactive Catalogue of Fakes

The Belarusian Interactive Catalogue of Fakes is an online tool designed to explore false information and disinformation campaigns targeting Belarus. The Catalogue of Fakes was developed by the Belarusian Investigative Center (BIC) as part of their ongoing AntiFake News project, which has been gathering and examining false information campaigns since 2021.

The platform offers a comprehensive overview of the fake news landscape in Belarus, including visualizations and search functions to help users identify and understand disinformation tactics. It also provides insights into the media and individuals involved in spreading false narratives and allows users to explore specific examples of manipulation and distortion of information. This is a holistic view of how the propaganda machine works.

Azarenok presented Biden's meeting with lawmakers as a session of the Ukrainian government

Responding to a Ukrainian poster calling to defend Belarusian sovereignty from Vladimir Putin, TV host Grigoriy Azarenok claimed Ukraine is dependent on the United States. As evidence, he showed a photograph that allegedly depicts Joe Biden chairing a meeting of Ukraine's Council of Ministers. In reality, the photo shows a different event.

"Their equipment is top-notch!" the ZhS Premium authors quipped about Lithuanian farmers. The sight of old tractors at a protest in Vilnius set off the controversy. Weekly Top Fake journalists found that organizers deliberately brought vintage vehicles.
